Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark Bites

Rich dark chocolate peppermint bark in bite-sized pieces. Made with simple ingredients, naturally sweetened — an elegant, healthier holiday treat.

Ingrédients
  

  • For the Bites
  • 12 oz dark chocolate 70 percent cacao or higher, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp natural peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 tbsp crushed peppermint candies or candy canes optional

Equipment

  • Mini muffin tin or silicone mold
  • Double boiler or microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula or spoon
  • - Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Prepare Pan: Line mini muffin tin with paper liners or use silicone mold.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Melt dark chocolate in double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add Flavor: Stir in peppermint extract, vanilla, and sea salt.
  4. Fill Molds: Spoon melted chocolate into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  5. Add Topping: Sprinkle crushed peppermint on top if desired.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate 30 minutes until completely set.
  7. Remove & Store: Pop out of molds and store in airtight container in cool place.

Use natural peppermint extract, not artificial flavoring.
Omit peppermint topping for cleaner presentation.
