Healthy Crockpot Turkey Chili – Lean Slow Cooker Favorite

Lean ground turkey chili simmered with beans, tomatoes, and spices — a healthy crockpot dinner with plenty of flavor and nutrition.

Ingrédients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Skillet
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Brown turkey: In a skillet, cook ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Combine ingredients: Add browned turkey and remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir well.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 5 hours (or high for 3 hours) until vegetables are tender and flavors meld.
  4. Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning. Top with chopped cilantro or Greek yogurt if desired.

Notes

Use ground chicken or lean beef as alternative protein.
Add diced zucchini or carrots for extra veggies.
Make it spicy with jalapeños or chipotle powder.
