Healthy Honey Garlic Chicken with Broccoli – Crockpot Dinner

Crockpot honey garlic chicken with broccoli — a balanced slow cooker dinner with lean protein, vegetables, and a light sweet‑savory sauce.

Ingrédients

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low‑sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Make sauce: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Combine: Place chicken in the crockpot and pour sauce over the top. Stir to coat.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 hours (or high for 2–3 hours) until chicken is tender.
  4. Add broccoli: In the last 30 minutes, add broccoli florets. Stir and finish cooking until broccoli is tender.
  5. Serve: Season to taste and serve with brown rice or quinoa.

Notes

Use chicken breasts for a leaner option.
Add sliced bell peppers or snap peas with the broccoli.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
